There are devices that allow an automatic or semi-automatic treatment, taking over a great part of the hard work of the swimming pool maintenance.

There are several systems:

Salted water electrolyze:
This system produces chlorine gas by means of the salty water electrolyze.
The devices are made of a cell with two electrodes and an electric control switch box.

There are two versions, a standard one and the other with automatic polarity reversal for the electrodes automatic cleaning (preferable for calcareous water).

The salt content of the swimming pool water must be between 3 and 6 grams per liter depending on the device type. This means that around 250 kg salt must be dissolved in a 70 mc swimming pool. It is a low salinity, much lower than that of the sea water and resembling that of the tears.

The swimming pool water is pleasant, perfectly clear and no salt stain remain on the skin when you get out of the water. The salt is re-generated in the electrolyze process, the salt adding being necessary only if lots of fresh water is introduced in the pool.

The pH of the water must be controlled and adjusted. This can be performed also manually with an automatic measuring pump.

This method, efficient and easy to use requires a judicious choosing of the swimming pool equipments as it supposes an increased corrosion risk for the metallic parts.

Automatic Measuring Installations
They are devices that measure the water parameters and introduce treatment products so that the ideal values should be maintained. The advantages are the impeccable water quality, reducing of the treatment product consume and the user's comfort. These installations are mandatory for public swimming pools.
